Some people get flowers for their anniversary; others get champagne. I on the other hand got a film crew!

It was all in the course of duty however. Our lovely client, Bubble Food, was to be featured in Channel 4’s much talked about series, The World’s Most Expensive Food, showcasing their ability to create theatrical spectacles that guests will remember and talk about for years afterwards.

The production company was looking for a suitable private event to film and decided that my upcoming celebrations would do just nicely.

So it was that the Bubble team could show off their boundless creativity, and we could throw an incredible party for our friends. A win-win situation if ever there was one.

My dining table having been duly transformed into a veritable work of art my guests were then treated to a multi-sensory gastronomic extravaganza featuring miniature edible menus; starters adorned with gold leaf and dishes full of theatre and showmanship, king crab capellini & gold Oscietra caviar served in a porcelain sea urchin shell among them.

The highlight was undoubtedly Bubble Food’s signature ‘Woodland Truffling Experience,’ which saw us all foraging in autumn leaves for smoked ham truffles whilst listening to the sound of snorting pigs on headphones. Delicious – and great fun!

Indeed the whole night was such as an innovative and immersive experience that we soon forgot the cameras were rolling.

A truly unforgettable evening – and a huge thanks to Michael Collins and his team for making this a wedding anniversary none of us are likely to forget in a hurry.
